After (possibly) taking a jab at Harry Styles from her seat at last night’s VMAs, Taylor Swift struck a pose alongside him and Ed Sheeran at the MTV show’s Soho Grand after party on Sunday evening.
In case you missed it, Tay was seen mouthing something while One Direction hit the stage. You can be the judge of what it was.
While we’re not sure if these former flames rubbed elbows and sipped Shirley Temples together after the big event (Tay seems like a Shirley Temple gal, am I right?), they did put aside any differences for a group shot snapped by an Instagram user named SpikyPhil. “Hosting the VMA after party @grandlifehotels With Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran & Harry Styles,” he captioned the pic.
Swift isn’t exactly smiling in the photo, but it’s not like she’s rolling her eyes or anything. Maybe “what’s past is past,” to quote her ballad “Begin Again.”
Or maybe it’s because there is nothing she does “better than revenge.” Taylor’s breakup songwriting wheels were probably churning at that very moment.
But Harry will be ready if the 23-year-old crooner decides to release a new track about him. He recently told US Weekly, “It would be hypocritical for me to say she couldn’t do it because everybody writes songs based on personal experiences. I can’t say I’d have dated someone less famous to avoid it.”
